EFÍMERO

In 2020, while walking through my garden, I noticed two monarch butterflies resting on an old car. The contrast between the fragile beauty of the butterflies and the messy surface of the car immediately caught my attention. One of these butterflies was dead, while the other was resting over it. Without thinking too much, I took this photograph with my phone.

This image has always carried a personal meaning for me — not only because it reflects my fascination with nature, but also because it was one of those unexpected everyday encounters that reminds me why I love photography.

As a way of honouring my photographs, I began transforming them into paintings — reinterpreting them in a subtle way.
